A time to knit and a time to rest

Today the shawl I have been making for my mom has been washed, blocked and left to dry. I am elated that it’s done, and done far in advance of her birthday. Is it strange, then, that there’s also a feeling of anticlimax? I guess not, since so much time, effort, and dedication was put into it. It was a journey that is now ended, leaving room for a new adventure. I suppose it is natural to have bittersweet feelings.

Since it is meant to be a gift, I will not post any pictures of it, yet.

Here, instead, is a picture of this adorable little guy I crocheted a few years back. I hope he adds some sunshine to your day.iphone download 2 103
